Audio Denoiser API - Remove Background Noise: Pricing, Documentation

by Pixazo

Reduce steady background noise - hiss, hum, room tone, air conditioning. Choose light, medium or strong, and an 80 Hz high-pass always clears rumble below the speech range first.

Authentication

All requests require an API key passed via header.

Pricing: Billed at $0.002 per second of source audio — the length of the track you send. A 5-minute recording costs $0.60.

Rounding: billing is per second but always rounds up to a whole second — a 5.06-second source bills as 6 seconds. The shortest billable job is 1 second.

Retries: this is an asynchronous job on shared encoding capacity, so a request can occasionally come back processing_failed or take much longer than usual. These are transient and succeed on a retry, and a failed job is never charged — the wallet hold is released. If you chain these tools, retry a failed step rather than failing the whole pipeline.

Request Parameters - Audio Denoiser generate request

Parameter Required Type Default Allowed values / range Description
audio_urlYesstringHTTP(S) URL to audio, or to a video; ≤ 600 sThe track to clean up. To denoise a video's audio, send the video URL in this field. Sources longer than 600 s (10 minutes) are rejected with Input too long before you are charged — split them into shorter segments.
strengthNostringmediumlight, medium, strongHow much FFT noise reduction to apply: 6, 12 or 20 dB. A number is rejected — these are the only accepted values.

Give this a video source and you get an mp4 back, not an mp3: the picture is copied through untouched and only the audio track is rewritten, so media_type is video/mp4.

An 80 Hz high-pass always runs first to clear rumble below the speech range; it cannot be turned off. Best on steady noise — hiss, hum, room tone, air conditioning. It will not remove a slamming door.

⚡ Performance

Live usage measured on Pixazo's gateway, split by model version. Generation time is how long a generation takes end-to-end (lower is better). Success rate is the percent of generations that complete (higher is better).
