- Write 40–80 words. Prompts under 20 words typically come back as a generic four-panel grid; a specific brief — subjects, mood, borders, captions — produces a distinctive board.
- Name the layout. If you specify no aesthetic, the AI defaults to a uniform grid. Ask explicitly for scrapbook, mosaic or an asymmetric arrangement when you want one.
- Count panels against print size. At 1024 x 1024 output, four panels give roughly 512 px per frame and nine panels roughly 340 px — use fewer panels for anything you plan to print.
- Quote overlay text exactly. Put titles and captions in quotation marks inside the prompt, and keep AI-rendered words short — long words are where rendering artefacts creep in.
- State the platform ratio up front. Instagram square, Pinterest tall 2:3 or Story vertical 9:16 in the prompt keeps framing true before you ever reach the export presets.
