AI Video Upscaler Upscale video to 4K and 8K, take SD to HD, and unblur, deblur and sharpen soft footage — the AI rebuilds real detail instead of just stretching pixels.
The tool
What is an AI video upscaler?
It raises a video’s resolution by rebuilding the fine detail in every frame — so edges, textures and faces look sharp instead of soft and pixelated. Upload a clip, pick a higher resolution, and the AI redraws each frame as it enlarges it, then you download the upscaled video from the Pixazo playground. It doubles as an unblur and deblur tool for soft or shaky footage. Working with a single image instead? Use the AI Image Upscaler. Every clip shown here was processed with Pixazo’s AI and is illustrative.
How it works
Sharper video in three steps
No plug-ins, no render farm — upload, upscale, download, right in your browser.
Upload your clip
Drop in the video you want to enhance — an old family recording, a compressed social clip, screen-captured footage or a low-resolution export.
AI rebuilds detail
The model analyses motion and texture frame by frame, sharpens the details, unblurs soft areas and reduces noise as it increases the resolution.
Download in 4K/8K
Export the upscaled clip at a higher resolution, ready for a bigger screen, a client deliverable or a re-upload that finally looks crisp.
The resolution ladder
From SD to HD, all the way to 8K
Push footage up one or more rungs. The further you climb, the more the AI has to invent — it stays faithful, but a clean source always climbs higher.
RUNG 01
SD
640 × 480
Old camcorder tape, early phone video or a heavily compressed download. The classic “SD to HD video” starting point.
RUNG 02
HD
1920 × 1080
Fine on a phone, soft on a TV. A single rung up sharpens edges and faces without changing the framing.
RUNG 03
4K
3840 × 2160
The sweet spot for most clips — upscale video to 4K for big screens, YouTube and client work.
RUNG 04
8K
7680 × 4320
Maximum headroom on supported clips — upscale video to 8K for cropping, signage and future-proofing.
Unblur · deblur · sharpen
Fix a blurry video
Upscaling isn’t only about size. The same model that enlarges a clip also unblurs soft focus, deblurs motion shake and sharpens muddy detail — so a video that looked out of focus comes back clear. Feed it a blurry clip at its current size and it still cleans it up, frame by frame.
Before & after
Soft in, sharp out
Each of these started as a low-resolution or blurry source. Slide past the seam to see the detail the AI rebuilt — all illustrative, generated with Pixazo.

What it’s good for
Creators & editors
Rescue a great shot that was recorded at the wrong resolution, or make old clips match 4K timelines.
Families & archives
Convert old SD home videos to HD, unblur shaky phone footage and keep memories watchable.
Marketers & teams
Upgrade product demos, webinars and ad cuts to a crisp 4K deliverable without a re-shoot. Restoring a film or series library to a distributor spec? See AI restoration and upscaling for studios.
Field notes
Get the sharpest result
A few habits that help — and a few honest limits worth knowing.
Start with the best source you have. A cleaner original climbs more rungs. Upscaling a pristine HD clip beats upscaling a re-compressed copy of it.
One big jump or two small ones. Going SD straight to 4K works, but very low-res sources often look most natural one rung at a time.
Unblur first, resize second. If a clip is both small and soft, let the model deblur and sharpen as it upscales — it’s one pass, not two tools.
It reconstructs, it doesn’t restore the original. Heavy compression artefacts and extreme blur can’t be fully undone; expect plausible detail, not the exact lost pixels.
