01 · The basics

What are GPT Image prompts?

A GPT Image prompt is a plain-language description you give the GPT Image model to create an image from text. Because GPT Image follows instructions closely and spells in-image text well, a good prompt names the subject, the layout, the exact words to show, and the mood — then the model renders it. Every prompt here is free to copy; open the Pixazo Playground, paste it into the GPT Image generator, and make it yours.

02 · How it reads a prompt

Writing prompts GPT Image understands

Quote the exact text. Wrap headlines, signs and labels in quotes — e.g. reads "OPEN LATE" — to get correct spelling.
Describe the layout. Say where things go: "header at top", "three menu rows", "logo centered". GPT Image follows structure well.
Name the style & light. "flat vector", "85mm photoreal", "golden-hour rim light" — style and lighting words steer the look.
Pick an aspect. Portrait or square for posters and signage; landscape for UI and editorial layouts.
Keep it specific, not endless. A focused prompt beats a wall of adjectives — say what matters and stop.
Iterate a word at a time. Change the colour, headline or mood and re-run; small edits give controllable results.

A few things worth knowing

  • Text isn't guaranteed. GPT Image is unusually good at in-image text, but long or unusual wording can still render imperfectly — check spelling and re-run if needed.
  • Results vary each run. The same prompt gives different images; generate a few and pick the best.
  • It's not free-unlimited. Each generation uses credits; new accounts start with free credits, with a credit card.
  • Provider disclosure. OpenAI builds the GPT Image model; Pixazo provides access to it in the Playground. This page is not affiliated with OpenAI.

What makes GPT Image good at text in images?

GPT Image follows instructions closely and renders legible in-image text far better than most image models, so it excels at posters, signage, packaging labels, infographics and UI mockups. Put the exact words you want in quotes in your prompt.

Do I need design skills to use these prompts?

No. Each prompt is written in plain language describing the subject, layout, text and mood. Paste it as-is, or tweak a few words — the colour, the headline, the aspect — to make it yours.

Can I change the wording that appears in the image?

Yes — edit the quoted text in the prompt to whatever you need (a shop name, a date, a headline). Keeping the wanted words in quotes helps GPT Image spell them correctly.

Which aspect ratios and sizes work best?

GPT Image supports square, portrait and landscape. Posters and signage suit portrait or square; UI and editorial layouts suit landscape. Pick the aspect that matches the layout you describe.

Were these example images made with GPT Image?

Yes. The example images were generated with GPT Image and are shown here with credit to their public sources (morphic.com, openart.ai, fal.ai and the awesome-gpt-image-2-prompts project) as a reference for what each prompt can produce. Your own results will vary with each run and any edits you make.
